So out of curiosity, I made a Neopets account and I’m confused. I didn’t know this before but petpets are ‘pets’ for neopets (…Ok I guess(?)).
But here’s the thing!! I remember in Petpet Park you could adopt petpetpet… A ‘pet’ for your petpet…
You get a pet, for your pet’s pet. A pet for a pet for a pet. You have a pet cat who has a pet mouse who has a pet butterfly…
What is this weird hierarchy?? But also, what was Petpet Park anyway? They’re pets for your neopet but when not in captivity, they’re anthropomorphic and fully capable of making their own society?…Do they consider being a ‘neopet’s pet’ slavery or kidnapping then?? 🤨
I don’t remember the petpetpets doing much in Petpet Park other than follow you around but apparently you can use your petpets for games in Neopets?? One of them being a battle game??
Obviously I have no idea how Neopia works, I just think this is hilarious! 😂
14 1/2 year later redraw - Petpetpark!
I was moving house awhile ago and found this old ancient art of my petpet and was very inspired to draw her now and I did! Kid me would of been very happy with this! This game was and still remains a special interest of mine after all this time! Guh, I miss this game so dearly. It feels like people barely know about it despite it being on platforms like Nickelodeon and tied to the Neopets brand as a whole.
Very thankful one of those old YouTube videos had a closet tour that had the dress in it or it would have been a nightmare to recreate from my young version's drawing haha! - please do not repost/steal my work, claim as your own, profit off of, etc. reblogging is perfectly fine!
