Jaune plan to propose to his girlfriend Ruby so he took her to one of her favorite places and he surprises her with music thanks to their friends and Jaune shows up a guitar. The song is Fall Into Me- Peyton Parrish.
"It's just through here."
"I know, Jaune." Ruby giggled. "We've already been to this spot a hundred times."
"Oh, uh, sorry, Ruby." Jaune awkwardly chuckled. "I was kind of talking to myself."
"Why?" Ruby asked rushing ahead of Jaune. She pushed a branch out of her way, which swung back into Jaune's chest. It almost knocked the wind out of him, and he ducked down once he recovered. "Sorry."
"It's fine." Jaune waved off." I know you wouldn't hurt me on purpose."
"After all the years we've known each other?" Ruby raised her brow as she walked backwards. "Maybe. But maybe I've changed."
"Maybe." Jaune sighed. "But only that you've gotten more beautiful with age." Ruby flushed at the comment and covered her face with her hood. Before she could trip, Jaune caught her and held her close to his chest. "You okay?"
"I'm fine, Jaune." Ruby giggled. "I wasn't going to fall."
"Right." Jaune smiled, pulling away. He passed by her and pushed through more foliage to reveal the final stretch to their secret spot in the Emerald Forest.
It was a secluded spot not far from their initiation destination, where they retrieved their pieces and battled against both a Nevermore and a Deathstalker. Just a ways across the field was a cluster of trees with a stump in the center. The sun was nearing it's end as the greens shined closer to yellow as the sky became more and more orange.
"For the lady who saved all of Remnant." Jaune pulled away a thicket hiding their secluded love nest. Sitting on the stump was a guitar case.
"Why thank you, Mr. Headmaster." Ruby said with a bow before passing through the trees. Jaune rolled his eyes at the title as he followed her.
Emergency lights hung from the branches with flowers spread around the stump, all of which Ruby marveled at. As she spun to mouth her amazement, she tripped and fell, only to be caught by Jaune again. He smiled.
"This proves nothing." She pouted.
"I know." He said. "You're always landing on your feet, and you don't need me to catch you." His eyelids fell down as she felt his heart pound into her hand through his armored chest. "But that doesn't mean I won't be there to catch you anyways. You know you can fall into me, right?"
"Jaune..." As Jaune brought her to her feet, he took her hands and kissed them. He let go, something she didn't want him to do, and strode to the case. He opened it, pulling out the same guitar he bought so long ago to serenade her partner. And now he would play it for her.
"I love you, Ruby." He said without looking at her. He turned to her, and sat down on the stump, strumming a few chords before playing.
The music was magical. It was tinged with love and romance. It was a song full of promises and desires. As she listened, memories of their times of rising from the point of hopelessness and falling together with every failure that tried to break them. Tried and failed.
As he strode towards her, he slipped slowly to his knees as his gaze smouldered into her silver eyes. She became lost in the vast ocean of his blue eyes, and found herself longing to stare into them forever. Soon, the song ended, and she realized the guitar fell from his hands softly to the grassy floor. She looked down at the beautiful diamond ring in a red velvet box.
"Ruby Rose," he asked, "will you marry me?"
