I just rewatched 2 early episodes of the sims and heckin hugglesboard we have been neglecting our origins. The early sims may not have the Devan romance or the aliens or even Tabitha, they may not have Dan and Phil sitting nearly on top of each other, but there are some soft heckin moments and heart-eyes galore and now is the perfect time to revisit them since it’s almost the 4-year anniversary of the sims series (let that sink in and remember time isn’t real).
SO I rewatched the very first episode, “MEET ‘DIL HOWLTER’” and wow.
This is literally the 2014!phan version of that picture from the Overcooked stream, you all know the one. The above picture came from ~1:10 in the first sims video right as Phil is messing with Dan about the language of the sims. Below, you’ll find the modern version:
