Helloooo friend can i request the "camping and it starts raining" established relationship au ask thing?? With jongho?? Cuz i relate to that very much lmao 💕💕 ur fabulous
“Hey,” Minho touches the back of Jonghyun’s hand, “just think, how romantic this is. We can even make out in the rain if you want.”
It had been Minho’s idea to go camping, but it’d been Jonghyun who had convinced Minho (with an easy grin and a kiss or two pressed to his lips) that they could go exploring before coming back to set up the tent.
“It’s only 2 in the afternoon,” Minho grumps, “it’s sunny and there are no clouds in the sky-”
“I didn’t hear you complaining! How was I supposed to know how quickly the weather changes here?” Jonghyun shivers when a fat droplet of rain splats on the back of his neck. “God, I hate this.”
“Let’s just make a run for it. I read that you get less wet if you’re moving-”
“We’re already soaked, Minho. It’d be different if the tent were up, but we have to set it up in the rain now.” Jonghyun hates being wet if it isn’t his choice.
“Hey,” Minho touches the back of Jonghyun’s hand, “just think, how romantic this is. We can even make out in the rain if you want.”
Jonghyun can’t help giggling at that and he can practically feel Minho sag with relief. “I’m sorry for snapping at you, Minho.”
“It’s fine, baby. I know how you get about being wet - it’s like Kibum and…well, everything.”
“Don’t be mean to Kibummie!”
“I’m just glad I’m trapped like this with you and not him. Jeez, that’d be a nightmare. I can practically hear him bitching about his hair, and his expensive clothes, and-”
“His phone,” Jonghyun cuts in, “don’t forget that. God, please bring him here?”
“We’d have to take him out somewhere nice to apologize,” Minho muses, “some nice restaurant.”
“I miss Kibummie,” Jonghyun mumbles, and that is when Minho grabs his hand and tugs.
“C’mon, we gotta run for it!” there’s a playfulness in Minho’s smile, his eyes, his voice when he says, “the floor is made of lava!”
And that should make no sense, but Jonghyun just laughs and begins to rush through the forest, Minho by his side. It turns into a race at some point, stops when Jonghyun slips and tumbles down a short incline. It isn’t much, but Minho still stops and jogs over to his boyfriend, blinking rain from his eyes and holding out his hand. Jonghyun takes it and frowns when he sees the mud stained to his jeans, pouting pitifully up at Minho.
“Are we back?”
Minho points to a tree they’ve just passed and nods. “That’s the tree I marked. It should be just ahead.”
They’re grateful now that they’d decided to hang their stuff up on a branch instead of leaving it out on the ground; Minho shimmies up the tree and Jonghyun catches their stuff, wrinkling his nose at the unpleasant wet and cold of it.
“You brought the instructions, right?”
Minho stares wide-eyed at Jonghyun, confusion knitting his brow until Jonghyun repeats his phrase. But then he just shakes his head slowly, an incredulous grin flirting with his lips. “I thought you brought them!”
Jonghyun just sighs.
(And Kibum frowns when the two of them come home with colds from staying wet and cold for so long.
“The things I do for you two,” he mumbles as he pours them both tea while they soak in hot baths.)
