anyway heres Bakura living in the Land of the Dead with Atem who domesticated him. Somewhat. Kura is frankly still 65% feral and will stand beside the throne eating a while ass roast with his bare hands while Atem does kingly shit.

Meanwhile Atem has to deal with the high priests having kittens over his presence. "He is just--standing there! This could be some ploy!" Atem glances with polite interest at the King of Thieves demolishing his goose. "...I've at least got until he finishes his lunch. Are you going to attack me after that, Bakura?" "Don't be stupid. I still gotta eat dessert."

Oh yeah btw I finished Millennium World in the manga yesterday and I was SOBBING. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. All the differences were very interesting. There's definitely some things I'll be taking for WIEAYB but also a lot I'll be changing, so that's fun!

Did you know that basically all of the baby Atem flashbacks are creations of the anime? 😭 The most we see of him in the manga is this:

Not on my watch, Yami’s gonna have a TON of flashbacks in WIEAYB hehehehe :D

Also one thing I noticed while reading Millennium World was that Kazuki Takahshi clearly wanted to be a horror manga artist sooooo badly. He did the horror and disturbing stuff so well and Yami threw up blood when his monsters got hit hard like four times. BOY REALLY WENT THROUGH IT!!! Anyway, I'm sad Yugioh wasn't able to be what Takahashi originally wanted it to be cause that would have been peak, but I'm glad he was able to return to his vision at least somewhat for the final arc. :)

Gonna move over to read Yugioh R next. Wish me luck!
