Do you know how phardil is doing?

Hello anon.

Does it show that me and Phardil were friends? I guess that would make sense since she has made me a few pictures and I have helped her out with some money--WHICH SHE HAS PAID ME BACK.

She's a pretty good friend, we got along really well but I am sorry to say that even tho we were getting close, she hasn't contacted me anywhere online since her deactivation. I was going to see if I could message her on deviantArt to see how she's been but I don't know if she'd even want to go online to check it out after what happened.

I'll be honest, even tho I haven't reblogged the evidence against her (which I honestly believe) I did confront her about it before she deactivated. I am always an honest person and an honest friend. I just wanted Phardil to know how I felt about it all cause it's only right. Back when I was a lot younger, someone online asked me if they could use my art as references and I was pretty happy with that and I said yes. The next few days I discovered all they did was took my pic and changed the colours. It was clearly my work. So I will not tolerate plagiarism and even tho I reblogged almost every thing Phardil created, I've always had my suspicions about them.

 I believe she's a good artist and that when she first came to the fandom she wasn't doing this. I think she may have developed a habit in trying to keep to using source images so that they're seen as inspired works when they came off too obviously copied. I found myself always wanting to see something different from her. 

I was away travelling on the road when all this drama happened. I was pretty upset when I found out what was happening. She talked about being popular and now having haters. The evidence was too real to automatically think they're on her case because they're haters. People just won't tolerate plagiarism. But because she is my friend, I didn't want to betray her nor did I want her to feel like I abandoned her in all this. I told her that I'll still be her friend but she also needs to work on this whole situation. I often wondered if she even read my message about this. 

If you're reading this phardil, I hope you're doing ok. And you're welcome to message me. I only wish I confronted you about this before others could hurt you. But I guess with all the pics it was eventually going to happen anyway.

I'm kinda late, but I just heard about the phardil fiasco. It's so shocking! Didn't DC invite her over to their offices sometime ago? I really thought she'd be working for them. Haven't been keeping up with her posts for a while now, but did she ever mention finally taking that trip to DC? Tho if she managed to fool DC, I don't feel like such a dope (much) for once admiring her 'work'. So now, just wanna say how much more I appreciate true artists like yourself. Thanks for always keepin it real.

Hi nonnie! Yes, shocking...but this stuff happens! And I saw the "DC" message too, but from what I saw and understood it was fan mail from someone who "worked in DC's offices in NY" which seemed a bit dodgy to me because they didn't leave their name or info, just a vague invitation to NY, but maybe that's how DC does this kind of thing? Via Tumblr fan mail? I dunno.

phardil Yes, there is a DIFFERENCE between being inspired by someone and plagiarism. In your case, it is NOT inspiration, it is not even referencing.

It is a COPY.

Yes, there are millions of other artists who uses professional artists' works for study purposes -- not copying others' works and claim it is original.

If it is an exercise for you, you should note on your image that it is an exercise/copy based on other artists (and what picture you have studied from), not just put your © on it and claim it is your original work. It is not.

Stephen Mooney is improving but why couldn't get use Marcus To for fill ins? :/ BTW, Seeley said #8 forms a through line with 6 & 7 so we may still get our climatic end to the arc :D

I have seen Monney done some great work, probably Grayson was just not fitting with his style. Marcus To would definitely be a better choice, his style works better Mikel Janin's. It always bothers me when art style changed dramatically in the collection.

The cover of #8 looks interesting, I hope it would be good_(:3」∠)_
