Kevin R Free is a very talented man, not only can be sing wonderfully but he also wrote this beautiful song. Imagining Kevin of Desert Bluffs with this kind of voice is it's own delight, especially when he and Carlos used to sing together in the Desert Otherworld.

Imagine a wtnv AU where cecil and Kevin are twins in a circus freak show thing, and Nightvale was a travelling circus and they meet Carlos, who wants to free them.

Anyone can use my AU btw !

Like Kevin and Cecil are chained together 24/7 by the ringmaster, they wear matching outfits and during circus acts they do everything in sync, and maybe the chains have some sort of curse so no matter how hard they try to break them , it doesn’t work ,

The ringmaster calls them "the sunny and moon twins" Maybe the ringmaster tattooed Kevin's eyeballs black, or used something to make them black, the other circus performers feel bad for them but can't free them, but they always got eachother,

Cecil does fortune telling stuff when he isn’t doing circus acts , Kevin is a jester or clown , khoshekh is the circus pet , and other Nightvale characters can be part of the circus too,

Honestly you should make it a reality!

Even if it's just writing out ideas, rather than drawing them! Or you could do a ficlet which explains it.

Though I'm one to talk, the amount of ideas I'm just sitting on for no reason haha including very similar ideas to this tbh!

It's funny because, it's not like there were never AUs in this fandom (mostly based on alternative timelines and realities as presented in canon), but we really mellowed in popularity before the 'AU surge' of the modern era so I almost forgot that this is something people do. By which I mean, it feels like nowadays as soon as somebody makes something everyone feels compelled to create their own AU with those characters 😂 and I'm like woah I just want to enjoy what the creator made as they made it, slow down ! It's not necessarily a bad thing to make AUs ofc, just another sign of me being old and out of touch with fandom!

Something super funny I headcanon that every solar eclipse , Kevin and Cecil go nuts cause of the eclipses power , Like act like crazy little gremlins and Carlos is like the poor zookeeper trying to keep them in line,

Bouncing off the walls , summoning random monsters and celestial objects , Kevin’s running around breaking things in the house , cecil is raiding the snacks cabinet , opening random portals , Kevin is setting things on fire with his fire breath and cecil is jumping on the bed and chasing each-other like a bunch of chihuahuas on crack ,

And god save you , they break out of the house and wreak havoc on nightvale , citizens start running away in terror as cars get flipped , buildings collapse , and the sheriff secret police start going at Carlos being like “please put your immortal radio hosts on a leash !”

And Carlos has to chase after them like zookeeper and has a bag of like candy , and then finally at the end of the day they pass out on the bed 😂

I always love the thought of the eclipse affecting Cecil and Kevin! (And Carlos having to deal with his radio hosts getting the zoomies during them xD )
