House - Pherro - Thoughtless (Ollie Macfarlane Remix) (by Viquid Lines)
21 January 2013. Pherro, whose Soundcloud and Facebook pages describe them simply as Rob Fenner and Michael Webb from London, last month released "Clockwork". This is a sweet balearic sounding production, the slow moving pads and soft marimba melody combined with the lively ricocheting bass and kick drum making it at once chilled out and vibrant. The duo have nicely interspersed different sounds throughout the track - percussion, fragmented vocal samples, electric guitar, and my favourite - a cassette ejecting sample, creatively adding to the rhythm.
