Sentry Turret SENTRY TURRET! <3 Portal fangirling aside, we're now looking at sensors (Phidgets in particular as that's our next project) and thought this was pretty fun. I like the use of both motion and vibration sensors, and would like to find out how to do that. It reminds me of this:  http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/e71c/ (also a portal turret, and something I want so ridiculously badly, Santa I hope you're paying attention!) , which I can imagine that the the person who made the phidget made further research and experimentation, he could make something like that plush, which uses the same sensors as said phidget.

RFID Asteroids

As a fun test of reading multiple RFID tags, I created a quick "joystick" to control my Barkley rocket. Holding the Phidget RFID reader over the left or right arrows rotates the ship, holding it over the up arrow speeds the ship up.

Now I just need to code up some asteroids and lasers!
