The charity event begins today!
Zelos sighed, reclining back into the chair. He tossed the folded card onto the end table next to it, not bothering to read the rest of it. It completely slipped his mind. He’d made plans with Sheena just a day before. But, this was something she already agreed to. He was all for doing something relatively good for the people of Meltokio. Even though all the chosen business was over, they still considered him a part of high society. “Sheena! That thing we said we’d go to is today.” he paused, lowering his eyebrows as he pouted, “But, do we really have to go?” hopefully it would lower his chances of being whisked away to this place.
Sheena crossed the hallway into the living room, she recognized that tone of voice instantly, already knitting her eyebrows together and placing her hand against her hip. “Those puppy eyes of yours isn’t going to work.”
“It worked last time..” he mumbled. “C’mon I do this stuff all the time, can’t I have just one lazy day?” she shook her head. “Zelos, we’re going and that’s final. No more excuses. We need to be there within an hour so get dressed.”
“Ugh, fine.”
