As a native New Yorker interested in design, I’ve always paid close attention to clothing brands. From actual product to support from consumers, it’s always been interesting to witness the growth (or lack of) from certain brands over the years. From my perspective, Scott Sasso’s 10.Deep clothing brand has undoubtedly been one of the most inspirational and innovative collectives for years to come. I remember being introduced to 10.Deep early in junior high school and I’ve been a fan ever since.
I sat down with Scott to discuss his early inspirations and what keeps him going 20 years later. As a Vassar College Psychology major, whose mother was a designer and store owner, Scott has organically developed as a designer and business owner of his own. From working from his bed to working directly with manufactures to ensure the best quality, Scott has proved that hard work and persistence pays off in due time. Go anywhere in NY, to say the least, you’ll spot a 10.Deep product. These words are a glimpse into the journey of Scott Sasso and 10.Deep.
