Philly's Cheesesteak in Greenpoint: Dalilah's Cheesesteak

うちの夫はフィラデルフィア出身。名物のチーズステーキは老舗で有名なパット以外では満足しないから、よほどじゃない限り頼まない一品。大阪生まれの私が東京でたこ焼き食べたいと思わないのと同じ感覚？チーズステーキと言えば、タマネギとクラフトの体に悪そーなとろけるチーズウィズが主流。油っこすぎて、食べて直ぐ胃もたれを起こすので、よほど体調がいい時しか受け付けない。私のお気に入りは少し、ほんの少しだけヘルシー志向で、以前フィラデルフィアのある老舗、ニックスで出会ったブロッコリーレイブにプロボローンチーズがここ、ブルックリンでも食べれる☆と判明！油をたっぷり吸い上げた赤ピーマンがちょい出しゃばり過ぎてたけど、、、ニューヨークでは食べれなかった味に夫は大満足！ぺろっと平らげる彼を横に、半分しか食べれず、１０ドルで２食分と至ってリーズナブル。店内はカウンターと立ち席のみだし、駅付近じゃないから少し不便だけど、オンラインでオーダー出来るので、近場に住んでる人はデリバリーがいいかも☆ My husband is from Philadelphia, and there is no cheesesteak house that satisfied his demand comes from eating only from old-established house like Pat's. Just like I don't crave for Takoyaki while I'm in Tokyo, he stopped trying one in NYC. Traditional cheesesteak with onions and Kraft's Cheez Whiz is too greasy for me, so my body has to be in a perfect healthy condition to consume one. My healthier option is just like the one I had at Nick's in Philadelphia, which is with broccoli rabe and provolone cheese. It was bit too much grease soaked in red peppers for me, but this place offers very authentic Philly's cheesesteak that made my husband so happy to find out that he doesn't have to travel 100 miles down for it. While I wrap my half of the sandwich for the next meal, he tore it down like a hungry wolf. The store has only bar counters and some stools and it's bit too far from subway stations, but they take orders online and deliver to you. If you live close by, you have to try once.
