🌸 Miss Bridgerton Attends University:

❇️ Thanks to a quite radical policy, ladies of the Ton can attend Cambridge, with permission of course, and if they have shown interest and promise in such academic achievements. For Eloise, this is a dream come true and has every intent of making the most of this opportunity. She will succeed.

While Sir Phillip would rather not be around people and tend to his own studies, he accepted the position of tutor of his alma mater on the condition that they must publish his work as well provide suitable living arrangements for him and his family.

He is sure that nothing of note will happen this year.

🌸 About Last...

❇️ Phillip was thinking he was just going to the hotel bar, drink a pint and not think about the utter dumpster fire that is his life. Then he gets talking with someone fascinating. And attractive. And funny. And has a room. No questions asked.

Just two consensual adults killing time together. Later on, Phillip meets Eloise again. At her brother's and his friend's wedding planning dinner, and oh, she's going to be the new researcher and PhD candidate at his university.

And they're going to spend more time together.

🌸 Missing connections

❇️ It's odd how Phillip was featured in the the first and second season, meeting the Featheringtons and marrying Marina and later on he showed his plants to Colin. There's zero connection to Eloise. At the moment, he's just some guy who happens to know Colin and is the Bridgertons' neighbor in the countryside. 🤷

🌸Tea Shop: Eloise has managed to open up her own place of business, a local tea shop and she is determined to see it succeed. She just needs to keep that in mind as she strikes up a friendship with one of her suppliers - Phillip Crane.

🌸 What scenes would you like to see in the show?

❇️ Not sure, especially with all the changes from the books to the Netflix series. I believe Eloise's story will be after Francesca & Michaela, plus there's the fact that Book Eloise is different from TV Eloise: Eloise from TSPWL is about 28 years old, and has turned down offers of courtship/marriage because she wanted true love. When that wasn't happening, she was okay being a spinster with her best friend Penelope. She only decided to take a chance on Phillip because she wanted to change her life and make things happen for her.

Eloise in the series never saw the appeal of marriage or having children, and when she tried explaining her deep seated fear and trauma from Edmund's death and Violet's near death as well as her frustrations of being limited to roles of wife and mother when she wanted to explore and figure things out, it was never really taken seriously. Heck, in S04 when she wanted to be "put on the shelf" Violet was not having it. Instead, she had her chaperone Hyacinth as she prepares for her own debut.

I choose to believe that in S04, Eloise's arc was her being able to make peace with some of her issues connected to what happened to her parents. But how will that carry over to her own season?

Of course, if the series can do their own version of all the Bridgerton brothers about to kill Phillip and Eloise is so done with them, that'll be fun.

❇️Why: It absolute simplicity of it. Eloise and Phillip were setting up their own courtship to see if they "suit" or they're compatible for marriage, but due to certain actions (*coughcoughEloisejustandappearingathishouselikedrown to at*) they have to skip all of that and get married. Its a reassurance that they can do this, this is not a bad thing. For Eloise, she can fall for this man and build a life with him and the twins. For Phillip, he is thinking, hoping that something good might happen for once.

❇️ I would think they got fellow couple friends with Colin and Penelope. But I believe Colin would introduce Phillip to Mr Finch and Mr Dankworth to their DnD dinner club. Plus, I think Phillip would vibe well with John (🥺) because John is this nice considerate guy who appreciates quiet and non verbal communication. Eloise is capable of getting along with others, but her Ride or Die is Penelope. It's really sad that Edwina couldn't get to join a girl's club. Though I appreciate the fics that have Edwina who can count at least one Bridgerton to be mucking around.
