New Publication on Book Cover Designer Philip Grushkin
Philip Grushkin designed book covers for some of the most influential books of the Twentieth Century, among them The Second Sex, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and The History of Art. In a career that spanned several decades Grushkin produced book jacket designs for over 300 books. His designs were celebrated for their elegant striking use of typography. Designer and design historian Paul Shaw has complied Grushkin’s work in a new book, Philip Grushkin: A Designer’s Archive published by Glenn Horowitz Bookseller Inc.
