6. what’s their stance on PDA?
They love it, although it can make Dani rather flustered, which just makes Philly do it more. Hand holding, cuddling, and the like are all common sights at the Montero Farm. Dani prefers to save kissing for when they're alone, but there's no stopping Philly if he wants a kiss. He wants one and he's gonna fucking get it.
7. who shows affection through words?
Philly's definitely more verbally affectionate than Dani is. Dani gets flustered too easily to shower Philly with words, but he can on occasions. His favorite way is to mercilessly tease him until Dani's brain is mush and his face is bright red.
8. who shows affection through touch?
They're both super physically affectionate! When Dani comes home from fighting all day, Philly lays his entire body weight on him like Nani does to Lilo in Lilo and Stitch.
"Hero! I've missed you!" Philly runs from his workbench, greeting him with a rather violent hug. He collides into him with a thump, nearly toppling them both over.
"I've missed you too, sweetheart," he chuckles, a wide smile spreading across his face as he hugs him back. Philly squeezes him hard, forcing all the air out of Dani's lungs. "Baby, you're heavy, let me up!"
Philly shakes his head no, only leaning on him more. "Gravity is increasing on me!"
"No, it's not, stupid!" Dani giggles, shaking his head at him.
He rolls his eyes with an exasperated sigh. "Is too! It happened last week!"
9. how do they like to initiate intimacy?
Given they're fighting all the time, they don't usually have the time for a lot of intimacy. But when they do get a chance, it's spontaneous. Philly is typically the one who starts it, but Dani starts it a lot too. When Philly is tinkering at his workbench, Dani comes up from behind to wrap his arms around his waist, subtlety whispering dirty things in Philly's ear while he grinds against him.
11. how do they comfort each other?
Dani is the KING at comforting. If he sees Philly moping around or sad in any way, he's scooping him up in his arms and carrying him back to bed for a cuddle session that'll last the rest of the day (or until Philly feels better).
15. who’s the first one up in the morning?
100% Philly. No exceptions. He always wakes up at an ungodly hour in the morning to work on something at his bench. He gives Dani a big stuffed animal in his place so he won't get lonely. Chorizo gets up with Philly too, so they spend almost every morning relaxing in the cool morning air, waiting for everyone else to wake up.
19. who’s the better cook?
Philly should not be allowed anywhere near the kitchen because he will burn something or himself. It's like a talent. How he managed to cook for himself before they started dating, Dani will never know.
20. what’s their stance on having kids?
Caleb and I have this AU going where Yara is never taken over by the Castillo's and Dani and Philly adopt Diego from an orphanage. So I'd say they'd only be willing to have one kid, that being Diego.
a/n: hii omg sorry for the long wait!!! i've been super busy recently but here you go 😌
1. what’s their love language?
Philly's love language is 100% quality time and physical touch. He needs constant attention or else the poor guy will melt. When Dani is away from the Montero Farm for too long (which is all of the time), the moment he comes back Philly is leaping into his arms like he hasn't seen him in years. He drags him back to bed where they spend the rest of the day napping together.
Dani's love languages are pretty similar to Philly's, but in addition to physical touch and quality time, he also has gift-giving. Which mostly consists of pretty rocks he finds along his travels or a homemade card on a special day. Philly has each and every rock on display on his nightstand. He refuses to put them in his drawer or in a bag or a jar because he insists that they'll get offended if they're split from the others.
2. who confesses first?
I'm a huge sucker for flustered and shy Dani, so Philly always confesses first, no matter the AU. When Philly confesses, it's in a roundabout way where he can backtrack and claim he was confessing about something else if Dani rejects him. During the whole thing, Dani is panicking, thinking to himself, "oh my god oh my fucking god holy shit does Philly like me back oh my god." There's no punctuation going on in his poor gay brain it's one big messy word jumble.
3. who plans the dates?
It's pretty even!! They're both insanely busy fighting against the dictatorship so it's hard to plan dates in advance, so whenever they both happen to have free time they make do. Philly likes to have domestic at-home dates like cooking dinner for him, movie night, or a sleepover. Dani can't get enough of them, but he does enjoy going out once in a while too, so he typically plans those dates.
4. who’s the better driver?
Neither. They both suck ass at driving. Never get in a car with them. You will die. Philly has totaled fewer cars than Dani has, so if you absolutely have to pick between them, Philly is a slightly better driver.
5. who likes to be the little spoon?
Philly! Nine times out of ten, Philly will end up being the little spoon. They may not even start out spooning, but when they wake up in the morning, Dani will have his arms wrapped tightly around Philly's midsection. Dani won't budge, either. If Philly starts to wiggle around or tries to get up to go pee, he'll just hold onto him tighter until he gives up trying to get out of bed.

“Find a bit of Philly magic, huh?” Dani groans to himself as he unmounts his horse, the sunflower embroidered saddle shining in the setting sunlight. “How the hell am I supposed to find ‘Philly magic’ in an abandoned croc farm?” He hitches his horse to a post, petting her neck to help soothe her.
The croc farm was abandoned, save for the crocodiles still living there. A few thatch-roofed huts line the edges of the property, most having wooden decks that connect them together. In the middle was a big concrete house covered in graffiti. The building looks like it was used as a restaurant at one time if the awning and bar cut out in the wall are any indications. There are crocodile decorations everywhere. Giant mascot statues, paintings, stuffed animals, pools, you name it, they have it.
Dani’s phone buzzes with an incoming phone call from Philly. “Heyyy, hero! When you get to the farm, look for a croc helmet!”
“A croc helmet?”
“Yeah! I need a croc helmet to make Philly magic, baby! Sending you a picture, buena suerte!” The line clicks, ending the call. Dani’s phone buzzes again immediately after, signaling the picture Philly sent came through. He looks at the message before shoving his phone in his back pocket.
He pets his horse’s mane again, kissing her nose before he leaves. “I won’t be long, girl.” Dani digs around in his pocket for a sugar cube, feeding her one, getting a happy neigh in response.
It didn’t take long for Dani to find the helmet and ride back to Susurro Caves before the sun set on the flat plains of Lozania. Liberating the oil platform was easy; shooting a few people is never too hard. Dani hastily dialed Philly’s number while he rode back, giving him a heads up before he got there. At some point in their conversation, Philly said he loved him. Realistically, Dani knows Philly didn’t mean it like that, but a small part of him wishes he did. But there’s no time for him to dwell on that now.
He hitches his horse just outside the cave, just far enough away to keep her safe in case everything went to shit. Dani gathers all of Philly’s things in his arms, carefully dumping it all onto the workbench with a loud thud. “Philly!” he calls out, his voice echoing throughout the hideout.
“Yeah, hero?” Philly replies from above, tearing himself away from whatever he was doing.
Dani looks up at him, watching as Philly climbs down the ladder to greet him with an excited laugh. A small, remotely detonated bomb is duck-taped to Daisy’s side. “Why is Daisy wearing an I.E.D?”
“Sometimes we have to hurt the ones we love, hero.” Philly inspects the circuit boards dumped on his workbench, dodging the question. “I would never hurt you though, don’t worry,” he says with a wry smile, giving Dani the side-eye.
He crosses his arms over his chest, head tilting to the side as he mirrored Philly’s smirk. “Oh yeah? But you have no problem sending me into one of Castillo’s FND bases to get you something?”
“Did you get hurt, hero?”
“Well, no—”
He leans down to rest his elbow against the tabletop, his hand hanging off the side. Philly licks his lips and cuts Dani off. “Then I didn’t hurt you, did I?” His dark brown eyes flit back ‘n forth, not so subtly looking Dani up and down like a predator does its prey. “Thank you for the circuits, hero. Perfect condition, just like I asked for.”
Dani does his best not to grow flustered, doing a semi-good job at it. “No problem, Philly.” This time, it was his turn to drink in Philly’s form like a tall glass of water. The hat he always wore is half on his head, crooked from the flashlight behind his ear, but still backwards as usual. His oil-stained tank top is untucked, riding up his side to show off the equally greasy dark skin underneath. To top it all off, Dani could see just how low Philly’s jeans sat on his hips. The waistband of Philly’s boxers peaked out, intent on making Dani even more flustered than he already is. A hand waves in his face to get his attention, pulling him out from the comfort of thoughts.
“You okay up there, hero? You spaced out on me for a bit, amigo,” he asks, the wry smirk on his face spreading to one of his signature conniving grins.
Dani shakes his head, bringing himself back into reality. “What? Huh? Oh, what were you saying?”
Philly laughs softly to himself, shaking his head. “Nothing, nothing. You’re cute when you zone out, is all,” he hums, standing back up.
“But how is that cute? Why would you even find me cute?” Dani sputters.
He rolls his eyes, slowly creeping towards Dani more and more. “Your face gets all flushed, hero. It’s cute.” His head tilts to the side, the smile still plastered to his face. “You don’t think you’re cute, hero?”
This time, Dani truly sputters over Philly’s words. Is he daydreaming? Is this a dream? He has to be dreaming; this can’t be possible. How is it possible that Philly is hitting on him?! He is hitting on him, isn’t he? Someone pinch him. “Well, I—you know!” he groans, “That’s not fair! You—You’re confusing me!” Dani averts his gaze from Philly’s prying eyes, a very, very subtle blush dusting his cheeks.
“I’m confusing you? How so, hero?” Philly teases. He barely presses himself against Dani’s chest, just enough to tease him. “You not used to people finding you attractive?”
Dani doesn’t trust himself enough to speak, nodding instead. “Mhmm.”
Philly’s slim—but muscular—arms drape themselves on Dani’s shoulders, successfully pulling their chests flush to one another. “Sooo, hero,” he hums. “How mad would you be if I kissed you right now?” He fiddles with his fingers nervously.
“I wouldn’t be mad.” Dani’s eyes are already half-closed, glancing back and forth between Philly’s lips and eyes. “I’d really like it if you kissed me.”
Philly bites his bottom lip. “Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” he whispers, the blush across his cheeks slowly becoming more and more prominent. “I’d really, really like it if you kissed me, Philly.”
Philly’s hands come up to hold the back of Dani’s head, thumbs right in front of his ears. He kisses Dani softly, his thumbs stroking his high cheekbones. The kiss is gentle, lips barely moving against each other. It ends just as quickly as it started, but Dani promptly presses their lips together again, not wanting the experience to end just yet. Strong arms wrap around Philly’s waist, slotting their hips together.
Time seems to stand still, freezing in place. Nothing in the world could be this important, this wonderful. Neither man dares to take it further, not wanting to ruin this perfect moment with something better when saved for later. One of Philly’s hands drops to cup Dani’s neck, the other moving to hold the guerrilla’s chin between his thumb and forefinger. The kiss ends naturally, both of them resting against one another’s foreheads. “That was nice, hero,” he whispers. “You’re a good kisser.”
“You’re good at it too, Philly” Dani smiles at him before hugging him tightly. “Y’Know, I always sorta hoped that you…” he hesitates momentarily, “…that you swung both ways.”
Now, it was Philly’s turn to grow flustered. He doesn’t blush like Dani does, his ears burning instead. “Yeah? Surprised you couldn’t tell; I thought I made it obvious. I've always thought you were fuckin’ hot, hero.”
“I guess I can be oblivious sometimes; I’m not used to being around openly gay people,” Dani says sheepishly, embarrassed over his lack of a functional gaydar. “I’ve always thought you were really pretty too. Assumed if I ignored it, it’d go away, but it only made me like you even more than I had before.” Philly absentmindedly rubs the back of Dani’s neck with his fingers to help soothe him. “Thought it was impossible that you could ever’ve liked me liked me.”
Philly’s heart positively melts upon hearing Dani’s earnest confession. “Hero, baby, I’ve liked you liked you since the moment we met. Even Chorizo liked you! He’s an excellent judge of character, you know,” he chuckles, his attempt to lighten the mood working rather well.
Dani giggles softly, looking down at the floor for a split second before looking back at Philly. “Really?” God, he’s no better than a schoolgirl.
He nods. “Really.” Philly takes Dani’s hands in his own, kissing his knuckles. “Wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it, hero.”
“Good.” Dani smiles, kissing him again. The kiss is quick and innocent, lips pressed together for only a few seconds. “I like kissing you.”
