Tri
This past weekend, for the second year in a row, Kristin's husband competed in the Philly Triathlon. Kristin, Bill's daughter Mariell, and I all went down to cheer him on both times.
Last year, the three of us were joking about doing the tri this year. Uhhh...yeah. No. But this year we realized that you can do it as a relay! So that's what we will be doing next year. We'll be able to cheer Bill on from INSIDE transition.
Mariell just got a fancy bike a couple weeks ago, so she's going to be training with her dad a bunch, I imagine. Kristin's a solid runner, and she's going to be working on marathon training after our half in September, so she gets that bit. And I'm the only one of us who has ever been a serious swimmer...so I kind of fell into that part.
While I'm not exactly looking forward to swimming in the Schuylkill River (can we saaaaay...dead bodies and radiation?!), I am very much looking forward to getting back into the water in general.
I'm so excited, in fact, that I just purchased a new racing suit. Online. Fingers crossed that it fits.
