This is El Dog. He is an absolute legend. . Ellis Ferrel has been riding horses in Philadelphia for 60+ years, used his earnings as a truck driver to care for the horses and now uses his social security to keep it all going for the kids. The city has tried to take it all away and nearby land once used for the horses to run is being developed but @fletcherstreeturbanridingclub fights on to keep the culture and tradition alive. . . . I must tell you #concretecowboy is the truth!! Super authentic and a superb work of art and craft. Find time to watch it.⚡️💥🔥 • • I grew up in SWP and when I was young I would ride my bike to the Cobb Creek Stables early in the morning to feed, clean up, wash and brush the horses before I would go to the pool. Never got a horse of my own to ride because my young mind want to play all summer and I didn’t commit to the work and responsibilities of being there everyday. You had to earn your keep. But the little part I played filled me with great pride when I would wave at the cowboys riding their horses down the street in the afternoon sun. • • I want to thank @leedaniels and @idriselba 💯✊🏾 Big respect for preserving one of my greatest childhood memories on film.
