フィル・メイ追悼。 殆ど話題になりませんでしたが、実はプリティシングスは2015年に新作を出してます。 99年に出た再結成第一弾"...Rage Before Beauty"は初期のビート路線に回帰した快作でしたが、本作はサイケ路線。 ただし凝ったサウンドエフェクトはあまりなく、バンドサウンドで押す感じはスワンソング時代にも通じるものがあって、プリティシングスらしさが溢れる傑作だと思います。 #theprettythings #prettythings #philmay https://www.instagram.com/p/CAO9sy7pZJj/?igshid=llg5bn0vipq

まさかフィル・メイまで去ってしまうとは…。 数年前にライブを観た時は相変わらずギットリしたオヤジ感満点でめちゃくちゃ元気でした。 なんでも自転車事故で股関節を怪我して、その合併症で亡くなったとか。 無念…。 プリティシングは時代によって音が変わるけど、どの時代もかっこよくて懐の深いバンドでした。 画像は10年くらい前に出たS.F.Sorrowのボートラ入りCDとDVDのセット。 割と最近中古で買ってたまたま近くに置いてあったので今聴き直してます。 ほんと完璧なアルバムだよなあ。 何度聴いても惚れ惚れしてしまう。 ちなみに付属のDVDはまだ観てません。 明日観よう。 #theprettythings #prettythings #philmay https://www.instagram.com/p/CAN4lJbprwA/?igshid=6dvwe3a47mm
