Philosophical Comfort

Perfect does not exist in a physical sense, so to all my fellow perfectionists out there, do not exhaust yourself in achieving it. You can certainly deem something to be perfect in your perspective, but objectively, it wouldn't be, since nothing physical can ever achieve that status. Technically, the only perfection that may exist is a higher power (which I personally don't believe in, if anyone wants to prove me wrong here I'm all ears), but even then, the biblical G-d is quite abstract, not to mention heavily flawed, as proven in the Old Testament. No benevolent, all-knowing and perfect being would commit such acts of violence based on arbitrary and illogical reasoning would they? I'm unsure of the actions of other higher powers in other cultures, but I believe something similar regarding them as well. As far as we know, an abstract universe that contains a perfect being has not been proven to exist. This does not mean that is doesn't exist entirely of course, to think so would be fallacious, it simply means that as far as we know, there is no proof of the existence of perfection in our world (the physical), it may only exist as a matter of perspective in the confines of our mind (the abstract).

the objective theory of human welfare just seems like desire satisfaction theory with extra steps.

everyone has a different perspective on what is good for life but with the objective theory of human welfare you have to argue about what's right and try to get other people to agree with you/practice it the same way.
