I HAVE A PROBLEM
So- I recently rewatched the 1st, 2nd & 3rd season of Arrow (2012) and holy f*cking shit, I LOVE Slade Wilson/Deathstroke so much! Especially his relationship with Oliver. How they turn from strangers, to friends, to brothers and then tragically to enemys... Like damn.
The whole love triangle with Shado, Oliver & Slade, that first is only visible for the audience, until Slade is about to die and apologizes for not telling Shado how he really feels about her. And then him surviving & Shado dying because of Olivers decisions? UGH.
And just... everything that follows. I love how menacing Slade is as a threat, how he gets Oliver to play his game, how fixated his mind is on the quest of revenge - the driving force being the Mirakuru and his heartbreak of:
1. losing Shado
2. that Oliver, his only close friend (after Billy Wintergreens betrayal) was responsible for it.
It is sooo much deeper than I remembered; to be fair, I was like 13 when I first watched Arrow, and didn't care about the island flashbacks, 'cause I only wanted to see edgy Oliver killing people while he was all hot & broody. (and yeah, I was upset when he stopped killing. and yeah I was a wierd kid, thank you very much^^)
Well and now I can't help myself, I have to draw Slade & Oliver, because of course I ship them. So be prepared for pay gorn on main.
