Books read in January. They were all great, but I absolutely devoured The Cruel Prince. What was your favorite read this month?

Top 5 f(x) songs.
Shadow (this song is so dreamy yet weirdly creepy, 10/10 would recommend)
Milk (I rotate the songs I keep on my phone and/or my running playlist but this one is constantly on it)
All Night
Papi (This is literally all I’ve ever wanted from a song probably)
Pretty Girl
Bonus: Favourite title track rn must be “Red Light” just because it was such a holistic effort - the song still evokes vivid images in my head and I get goosebumps when I listen to it.
Send me top 5 anything
10. :)
Black Friday Rule by Flogging Molly
Still the only actual concert I’ve ever gone to, and the two of us spent most of it sitting in the back on the grass with the old people away from the drunken mosh pit.
We all obviously love books, coffee, and tea. But do you have a favorite literary magazine (online or in print)?
Oh man I don’t think I’ve even read a literary magazine since like high school maybe? The closest thing I can think of is like those scholastic Highlights issues we got in elementary school (does any one remember those?)
Erin might know of some though, I know she’s sent her work to a few for publication, so I’m gonna tag her see if she’s got any recommendations for you since I’m pretty useless in this area.
Hello! Are there any specific brands of notebook that you like to use? I'm looking for new notebooks for the upcoming term and hoping to find some with thick pages so that ink won't bleed through. Thanks☺️
I mean if you plan to use them for like school notes, I’d say whatever is the cheapest, since you’re just gonna use them all up really quick. It probably won’t be worth it to buy expensive ones that won’t be worth much beyond whatever class you have. Like my staples are literally dollar store notebooks. Mostly cause I do all my notes by hand so I go through them quick enough to not spend too much on them.
Although for nice notebooks (like the ones I use for drawing, and Erin would use for her writing) I’d recommend moleskins. They’re more than my law student budget would like usually, but the paper is so nice and smooth. Plus they tend to do well with the heavier inks without tearing or showing through, and you can find lined and unlined one for whatever your preference.
But Erin has much more experience in this area so I’m gonna tag her so she can edit this with her preferences, since she actually buys/collects notebooks for her writing, and I prefer sketchbooks. (although perhaps find a sketchbook with heavy paper meant for inks, since that might work as well)
If any of our followers know of some notebooks that they prefer and are durable ink wise feel free to tell us. Question mark for replies??
Erin, here. Personally, when it came to school I always just picked the cheapest and least ugly notebooks I could find (when I wasn’t just taking notes on my ipad). I would highly suggest buying your notebooks in a store and not online to see how thick the pages are.
For nice notebooks, I agree with Lauren, moleskins are really nice. I also love buying hand bound leather notebooks/journals. There is this shop called Under the Mango Tree (which unfortunately I can’t find online) that has the most amazing journals. I buy one every year at the Renaissance Faire (if I can afford it). I know that they are based in California, but they make their way around the Southwest... But Barnes and Noble actually has some really lovely journals, so you could always look there.
I hope this was some help. :/

In the interview for my current job my then future boss and I talked about Swedish food instead of my past job experience.
At one of the interviews we ended up talking about life back on the east coast compared to here ahahah xD
