Florida State University shooting suspect ID'd as the 20-year-old stepson of a sheriff's deputy. Here's what else we know.
Authorities have identified the suspect in Thursday's deadly shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee as 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner. Ikner, reportedly the stepson of a local sheriff’s deputy and a student at the university, is said by classmates to have previously expressed far-right ideologies.
He was wounded by police during the incident and taken into custody. Ikner is currently hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening. Officials have not yet revealed a motive behind the tragic attack.
