PhoneExpander Frees Up Space On Your iPhone or iPad
PhoneExpander PhoneExpander spring cleans your iOS device. It's a non Mac App Store download that can delete the caches that make up the mysterious "Other" section in the iTunes Space-Used-O-Meter, and it also makes it easy to see which apps are taking up the most space so you can delete them. I'm not comfortable letting an unknown Mac app have access to my iPhone, but I tried it out anyway, just for you. It has some usability problems. For starters, when you're clearing out the caches, all apps' caches are checked by default, and you can't uncheck them all to make your own selection. You have to uncheck apps one at a time. A slider lets you pick photos based on age, from one day or more to two years, and lots in between. It seems to work though, and right now the beta is free. I haven't actually let it remove anything, but I did just find out that Rdio is using like 8.54GB on my 64GB iPhone.
