More playing with that same patch, this time a sequence i recorded instead of the loop (you can see the piano roll at the start). This is exploring the setting where i ended the last video— the Phonogene speed set to 0 (turn to the right increases speed forward, left speed backwards, dead center is stopped). There is speed is then adjusted by the volume of the 0-Coast (which is also the sound going into the Phonogene). This means that as the sound plays, the speed changes from zero and the sample starts playing, the louder synth, the faster the sample. I like that this allows for ‘quiet’ moments where the sample is not constantly playing, but that it can a full on chaotic element when other parts get intense. In general, there is a lot of feedback patching happening, so all of these systems are interconnected 😸
