3/21 is world Down Syndrome day!

I decided to do some drawings of my character Cristiano "Tian" Scanagatta to celebrate.

About one in a thousand babies worldwide are born with Down Syndrome, or Trisomy 21. That's a lot of people! DS causes a variety of symptoms, including intellectual disability, facial differences, visual impairments, heart problems, an increased risk for Alzheimer's, and a lot more. Despite how common it is, people with DS are often ignored, but they shouldn't be! Just like every person in the world, they have a lot to offer. We've already come so far— life expectancy for people with Down Syndrome was 12 years old in 1912, and now it's 50 to 60 years old! With continued research, support, and most importantly, listening to people with DS, we can make the world an even better place.
