hey foxy. i was wondering if you could, like, put together a pic thread of Jungkook looks for each of your fic? like a thread of pics of Jungkook that you think represent/look the closest to what each of your fictional Jungkook looks like, like Meadow!Jungkook, Lowlander!Jungkook, Sugar Fairy!Jungkook, Sea of Indigo!Jungkook, Amended!Jungkook… obviously in Lowlander!jungkook’s case, you won’t find any pics of Jungkook wearing Viking-esque fits but maybe just, pics that you think just give off Lowlander!Jungkook, you know? does that make sense? 😅

OK I'm putting this beneath the cut because it's a lot of pictures. Honestly some of these stories I wrote a while ago so I'm trying to remember who I'd envisioned them...
Meadow Jungkook: starts with longer straight hair, wears dark colors, tattoos, piercings. Any of Jungkook's tough guy long haired looks would work for this, the bigger and less he looks like he cares, the better. Butter music video but pretend the purple hair is black and get rid of the smile LOL. There are lots of fan arts that work for this too. He cuts his hair shorter and then you can think of that concert peformance where he had the skeleton shirt and red sunglasses, can't find an official photo rgiht now...
SEA OF INDIGO JK: Long enough for a ponytail (you will notice I have a bias here LOL) through shaggy. I think he always needs to look like a slightly overgrown puppy, a tough guy who doesn't actually look very tough in the face.
SUGAR FAIRY JK: I can't remember if I ever really specified hair or anything but this is totally how I still think of him, just add on the bunny ears. It’s more accurate for the beginning of the story, maybe his style and physicality grow over the course of it. But he’ll always be this emo bug in my heart.
AMENDED JK: You can see the remnants of his tough guy youth but he has to have his hair work-required short. Looks more clean cut and responsible but with a streak of hot guy arrogance. The "Will it Fit" Jimmy Fallon bit was highly inspiring.
LOWLANDER JK: while I don't have any photos or art of him with the really longer hair I'd thought of, his longer hair with the undercut works well, or just his longer hair in general. He had a photoshoot that fit the vibe really well and I also actually commissioned art from Hellenysart as well.
PENGUIN KOO: You didn't ask about him but I'll include him, it might surprise readers to know I've envisioned him as blond sweater Koo. Look at that grump!
OK that's my image limit. Hope this is what you were looking for! And obviously everyone is free to envision whichever JK look they want in the stories :) sometimes I don't even get too specific (Like in Little Bean and Flux, where JK's look is roughyl accurate to whatever he actually had going on at the time.)
It takes place beyond the scope of the book, but I envision a lot of Korean packs suddenly get taken over by younger generations, causing a dramatic upheaval in the the country's leadership adn also their norms. I would expect that after that, there's then a period of hyper-nationalism where at the very least Korean culture becomes really "cool" again, and then hopefully things settle somewhere in the middle, where everyone can find a way to better balance pride in their culture and pride in their progressive social stance.
What I'm saying is, at some point JK insists on the blue hair :) to better stand out from the other young pack leaders who are springing up around him
Foxy, do you have a mental image for Bella and Eniko? Are there any similar celebrity faces that match your perspective? For me, I imagine Bella's face as a mix between Lauren Bacall and Margot Robbie. My mental image for her is not too clear, but she definitely has some old Hollywood vibes for me. For Eniko, it's Mackenzie Foy in 2020/21. She has this otherworldly beauty about her.
I definitely didn't when I started this, and I don't even have big inspiration folders like I did for Sasha. I love hearing how other people see them in their minds.
I can't remember how I came across photos below, I have no clue if these are models or influencers or what, pinterest just threw them into my path somewhat recently and I felt like they had good vibes if I was casting the characters in a movie.
I will disclose though, I don't actually see these faces when I write it's more a vague "kind of like this""hand-wavey"

For Bronwen, this woman just has that sort of deer-like ethereal look I think. Her eyes are not-normal silver in the story, so you'll have to pretend. I also pictured her with browner hair but that kind of brown works too!
Hi, Foxy! I was wondering if you have a Pinterest board for Sasha's room? It seems her aesthetic is gorge, and maybe Pinteresty? White walls, plants, throws etc. I always have a hard time imagining specific settings, especially houses and apartment in places I've never been, so could you please give us a little bit of visual clue? Usually I don't like pictures in fanfiction but Little Bean universe is so good that I want to get everything right in my head.
Hehe, I often do have reference photos either on pinterest or saved to my computer. Her style is VERY pinteresty. I like to think of it as very intentionally pinteresty, after she spent a long time looking at styles to see what the world sort of views as nice and clean and well off but natural. Below is very simialr to how I picture her room, except with a smaller window (Korean apartment!) and fewer plants (less light and budget). I don't think she has fully realized any sort of uniqueness to her style yet, I think she quite literally is in the "copying things I like the look of" phase of her style development, if that makes sense.
^ I even gave her that ladder bookshelf, JK's speaker lives on it and sometimes she stupidly props her laptop there. See also dangling pothos JK gets tangled up in when he leans against the wall 😂
When part of a story is about culture and place (as in this story, where she is out of place and adapting to culture), I do a lot of research into what can be afforded, what's realistic, etc. Her budget would likely get her tile or older wood floors, plain white walls, smaller window with less natural light, and probably about that much space for a 3-bedroom apartment. I envision the space behind the camera in these photos is where she has a small actual closet (a lot of Korean apartments have wardrobe-style closets rather than installed closets) and her desk area.
