ABOUT.
What comes of the fallen angel when he's cast out of heaven, abandoned by his creator? Who embraces him then? It's the origin point of Sandro's story, the question he was forced to ask as a young child who suddenly found himself ripped from the arms of his family and thrust into the confines of one he barely knew. He was his father's greatest joy and even greater punishment, taken in as a ward of a larger mafia family after his mother revealed the man's delusional aspirations of betrayal and insurrection. In one swift motion, she signed off on her husband's death in exchange for the safety of she and her son — but this was not a truth the young Sandro could see. At twenty-one, he was granted the opportunity to move to America, and he, filled with bitterness for his mother and the dream of escapism that haunts all young men, fled with great delight. He started as a mere lackey to his new superiors, but worked his way up over the years, embodying roles such as delivery boy, personal driver, and bodyguard, to eventually earning enough trust to assist with deal-brokering between other families. Still, his eyes were set on something greater — a name to be made for himself, and a skin to be shed from this life before assuming a new one. Little did he know that another family entirely outside of the Mob had kept their eyes on him as he progressed over the years. The Harrigan clan, eager to solidify their ties and secure the best of the best, made him an offer he simply couldn't refuse; this new role of 'Social Liaison' existed somewhere along the tightrope of paradise and a death wish, with his now-former Mob connections believing that having one seemingly of their own in a place of power within another criminal empire could only serve them in the long run. In truth, Sandro hasn't quite decided — publicly, his loyalties are with the Reserve. But privately, he's always been a man to protect his own interests first, no matter what it might cost to any other.

Perhaps it's to do with his addictive personality, or perhaps he simply is just a fan of the aesthetic and usage of artistic bygones, but Sandro is an avid collector of multiple items, namely: vinyl records, vintage wines, film reels from Old Hollywood, etc. In his home, he has specific rooms dedicated to each of these collections, and when not pursuing some business endeavor, he's likely to be found in any one of them.
At first, he acquired the Marquee nightclub out of boredom, desiring to transform it into a place of debauchery and hedonism unlike any other. Soon, however, it became quite the passion project and flourished into more than a mere bacchanal. With his time and effort, it's not only become a business that can serve as neutral territory for the meetings required for his work — it's also the perfect ground for the seeds of his egoism to bloom under neon lights, controlling the futures of aspiring starlets with his exacting and selective eye and proximity to exclusivity.
He's tattooed practically from neck to toe, including a rendering of the red-crowned crane, significant dates from his life, an artistic depiction of the Virgin Mary, the phrase "everyone will come to my funeral to make sure I stay dead" on the back of his hand, entwined snakes on his back, an inner lip tattoo that says "bite me" — just to name a few.

THE INGENUE » His club isn't called the 'Marquee' without reason. One of the features of the decadent club is a regular spot for new performers from a variety of backgrounds — especially burlesque, cabaret, music, etc... This connect would be for a femme-leaning character, aspiring starlet-type, who becomes the new pearl at the center of the Marquee's oyster shell.
I MIEI AMICI » Although Sandro isn't quite the type to have incredibly close connections formed at this point in his adult life, there was a time in his youth where he relied on the friendship of fellow mob children to help make him feel less alone. This connect would be for a few friendships that have existed since youth, exclusive to current or former mob-affiliated characters (though we could def work something else out!), and likely rooted in a shared past in Italy, or the early days of his time in NY — meaning, these are friendships that have existed 10-20+ years!

This is best-suited to someone with a similar schedule to him, someone who perhaps also lives in the shadows, who’s also just looking for a fun way to release some of that tension. (I’m definitely willing to discuss offshoot ideas of this, but for the time being, this connect is not really rooted in romance on Sandro's side!)

This is the woman who truly set his life on a different course than the one he was born into, the woman who betrayed his father but ensured both her and Sandro's safety.
