In the honour of Rick ruining the characters and canon plus admitting that he is doing this as a publicity and marketing stunt let's just admit that most of the famous authors sadly are walking down this path.

It's absolutely brilliant and Rick's inane plotline reminded me of this masterpiece.
No I've read that! That fic is soooo good and where Percy should've gone. Rick take notes.
But fr even the non-famous authors seem to do this. Like please, learn to let a world go. Make a new one! Make a connected world like he did with TKC and MCGA (mind you I'll bitch about them too but STILL).
Just let Percy rest already.
