How many eyes does the eyed phyllidiid nudibranch have? Surprisingly, only two, and they're not very good at seeing! Like most nudibranchs, the eyed phyllidiid nudibranch has a tiny pair of eyes embedded in the skin of their backs that are only capable of detecting changes in light. The rest of its 'eyes' are actually bright spots meant to ward away predators.
