oh god!!! What happened?!
The original injury is from June 1st, she sliced it open in the field overnight and we have no clue what happened. The vets at the equine hospital had to cut away the dead tissue, hence the hole. It was healing well until today, when she randomly bled through her bandage when normally it doesn’t bleed at all. Apparently she had a ton of granulation tissue that got irritated and bled, so the vet trimmed all that away too. The vet said this was normal for a wound like this... still scary though.
