Singing is weird... it's not like playing a piano, where every note is gonna sound how it should. You don't have to yell at the keys to sound right. You don't have to focus on teaching 60 individual keys how to play the note their supposed to play...seriously, directing a choir would be like trying to teach sentient belligerent pianos.
