When I have to take apart a piano in which the cheekblocks are hooked onto the fallboard, I rest the whole contraption on the black keys, lift up each side of the fallboard and pull the cheekblocks off one at a time. Because stretching my short self to the limit and using the tippy tips of my fingertips to hold onto the cheekblocks and take the whole thing out all together is for...people who definitely have longer arms than I.
