It's our University President's day and we have no class, so the PICE-XUSC scheduled an educational tour for us members. We went to Balingasag, Misamis Occidental to check out the NIA BalRIS project. BalRIS stands for Balingasag River Irrigation System. I didn't expect to see such a beautiful view of nature in that very far corner of MisOr. It was truly breathtaking! Plus the dam's one of a kind. It's the only dam in the Philippines with a steel plate on top of the usual reinforced concrete dams. 'Twas a great learning and recreational experience. A short lived sweet escape from all our school related shits problems. :)
And oh, I should also mention that Balingasag's plaza and bay walk looks so nice and calm and relaxing. Plus they have this very old church that gives you retro feels. Too bad we were not able to really stop by to take some pictures. Should visit the place again soon!
