I have a theory (mostly a hopeful observation, either way) that the Goth Kids are going to get an episode this season
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet, but I've had a stoned idea and I wanted to share it (under the cut bc this is long and I'm rambling a bit while providing the reasons I've come to this conclusion):
This could be reading too deep, but it feels kinda odd to me that they released Croc charms of the Goth Kids when they haven't even had an episode focused on them in over a decade. There's plenty of characters that have had more prominent roles in the past few years that they could have made charms of, yet the only two multi-pack sets available are of the Main 5 (4 + Butters) and the Goths (4 + Raven)
I reeeeeeally really hope this means they're releasing a goth kids episode this season 😭
It could just be the fact that they needed a group of 5 for the combo pack, but if that were the case, why not use Craig's Gang? Craig, Tolkien, Jimmy, Tweek, and Clyde have all held lead roles these past few years in episodes and video games, so casual SP fans would recognize them... Why didn't they use *that* group of 5? Plus, I feel like Tweek and Craig being released in a combo pack together would go crazy in sales because of Creek shippers/fujo/fudan/collectors/etc. fans (Note: as of writing this Sept. 10th 2025, Tolkien is the only character from Craig's Gang to have an individual charm listed on the Crocs website).
Another theory I've had for a few years now (which I'm pretty sure I've mentioned on here before?) is that I'm certain there's at least one member of the team working on the show's creation who really likes the Goth Kids. This could be animators, this could be Stone or Parker themselves, who knows it could be literally anyone on staff. They haven't had an episode focused on them since "Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers" in 2013, but they've been appearing as background characters, even getting a few passing lines here and there, in recent years. But in most cases, they're not even all together anymore.
Please correct me if I've missed any, but the only times I can remember ALL FOUR goths appearing together after GK3:DotP are:
*Black Friday: end of the same season as GK3, S17, on Team PS4
*video games: some roles in the games, but even then it's been mostly side quests, DLCs, or appearing in crowds
*ParQ special: in the background unpacking boxes of vaccines
*PostCov: they were only all four together at the funeral in the beginning. After that it seemed like only Michael and Pete were seen staying at the shelter and appearing together in the background scenes (unless Hen or Firkle were somewhere nearby that I missed?).
I'd also like to point out that if they continue the bi-weekly schedule as is, S27E8 will be airing October 29th, just in time for Halloween.

Idk I think it'd be a great business idea to release merch of the Goth Kids if they were about to do something with them in coming episodes. Crocs just seems like a big enough brand deal, why wouldn't you wanna use characters that are featured more recently/frequently? This could also be categorized under Matt and Trey just not giving a fuck about what'll sell more and they release merch based off what *they* like (hey maybe it really *is* one of them who keeps sneaking them in the backgrounds!)
