I'm trying to write my first book but I'm having a hard time coming up with a title and I was wondering if you could help me please 🙌🙌 The story is about two teenagers that run away for differents reasons, but meet in the beginning of their journeys. They find out they're going to the same place and help each other through their problems and slowly fall in love... could you help me please? 🙌🙌 i can't think of any 😭😭😭
Hi anon, happy to help! I know how tough it can be to pick a title, I'm still referring to my current novel as "ghost story" and I'm on the third draft! What genre is your story? Based on the plot I'm assuming YA but want to make sure. Different genres have different styled titles. The tone of the story also dictates the title. Is the book generally happy, sad, funny, etc? And what perspective is the book in? All of these things will dictate the kind of title. Also, don't worry too much about picking the perfect title, if you want to get the book published, your editor and publisher will typically have the final say when it comes to titles. But off the top of my head I came up with a few options for various tones: Confluence, The Day I Met (Insert character name here), The Unbridled Youth, From Here to (insert place they're running away to), It's Not About the Destination, Anywhere But Here, Anywhere With You. I also find just reading lists of titles similar to your story is a great way to brainstorm titles. I hope this helps!
