My dad passed along his fruit picker, now that he and Mom live in a house sans fruit trees. That basket is on a four foot pole, and has the same again as an extension piece.
This was so much nicer than balancing on a ladder and I drop way less fruit on my own head using this tool too.
Asian pears have to ripen on the tree, they stop when picked, so I’m trying to only nab the browner ones. I am trying to get out there at least every other day and check. I got a hand-me-down crock pot this spring so that gives me more processing options.
