Yogi Bear poses in front of his cave having enjoyed more than a few delicious pic-a-nic baskets.
Is it wrong that even though her dress is fabulous (and she looks gorgeous wearing it) that I'm actually lusting after her picnic basket more?
Such a surprise when one opens the "lid" of this card, to reveal a rabbit inside. Perhaps the recipient had really hoped for a real live rabbit. This card from 1887 was published in Britain by well-known publisher Marcus Ward & Company, but was lovingly kept by a New Zealand collector. Other Marcus Ward cards can be seen here.

It's cute that this is organized so nicely until you realize that half of the items belong in a different exhibit.
Another day, another picnic basket-grabbing attempt with Yogi Bear
[Mise en scene: Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo are walking in a meadow close to some picnic area in Jellystone Park when the scene is as follows--] BOO-BOO, rather concerned: You know, Yogi, your sheer craziness in trying to steal toueists' picnic baskets, and the ways you try to steal them, forever escapes my mind. YOGI BEAR, in his spontaneity of excitement: Hey, Boo-Boo buddy!! Watch me go on my tippy toes as I stealthily approach this picnic area just ahead and prepare to plunder another basket of tourist-type goodies!! BOO-BOO, inevitably in such a scenario: You heard what the ranger saith, Yogi-- [Whereupon our "smarter-than-the-average" bear goes into the picnic area in question, only to be hit in the face with a frozen coconut cream pie thrown by an irate tourist ever annoyed at Yogi's ursine antics. Yogi, at any rate, gets bowled over by the cream pie and falls down backward on the meadow] BOO-BOO, noting Yogi's state: YOGI!! Are you alright? [Yogi takes a few bites of the cream pie before the plate falls on the ground, whereupon we find Yogi with whipped cream and pie filling all over his face as a result of the pie-borne missile of tuoristic umbarge] YOGI BEAR, somewhat whimsically: Is it just me, Boo-Boo buddy, or is it that I have a shared trait with a certain Scooby-Doo?! [Quick cut to Scooby-Doo "himself" chuckling away at the remark. Then cut back to--] BOO-BOO: At least you're still alright, Yogi ... now if we could go to some nearby stream and wash that face off! [You can imagine the rest]
