pico's trackers are not that bad actually

HEADS UP- This is a random late night ramble, everything is written like dick and balls but idc, also mucho texto but the title explains it

so UHM yea this is from a first time consumer perspective, I have had a bit of experience with vr since I got my headset a few months ago and I wanted to atleast try and look into possibly at some point getting into fullbody tracking.

so while looking for the cheap and easy to set up options I did come across pico's own motion trackers wich are generally quite new and have a lot of improvements ahead of themselfes; with a lot of reports about very inaccurate movements, floatiness, drifting after short amounts of time, and just generally being a bit of a hastle to re-correct. I was a bit skeptical and hesitant to try them out, but I decided to give it a shot anyway because it was the cheapest and most accessible option to me personally and while the reports generally are correct I personally don't think it is that bad tbh :sob:

it's 2 tiny ankletrackers for 90 bucks with no form of basestations or anything else so of course it will be pretty wonky in the beginning and you can figure out how you deal with the problems on your own quick enough

yes my body does contort in really wierd ways, yes the positions are not really that accurate to my real body, but I personally still think it was worth it because I can literally just stand up real quick and it's back to normal or I can change the floor level to be different if I feel like laying on bed to slow down the drifting taking place

now if anyone wants to buy more accurate trackers and have any form of budget for it, be my guest obviously, but if anyone also wants to consider getting those trackers not really giving a shit about what I mentioned prior or are on a lower budget then grab those trackers if you feel like

im sure the developers of the softwares and shit will be adding more and more updates over time to make it more accurate and shit hopefully

overall i am jus happy to be able to fully move around in vr and be even more intune with my avis
