─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ── Dorcas & Zee
It didn't take long for Zee to realise that this town was filled with magic, in all kinds of variations and shapes. Creatures too, and not the ones summoned from Hell, that she'd have to spend an enternity and some really old, wonky spells to make sure wouldn't come back once she sent them away. No, this place was filled with things that came from fairytales, children's story, and whatever else you could think of.
Which was also why she was quick to realise that in here, she didn't have to be subtle about using her magic. Thankful for that, life was a lot easier when she could mutter a few words backwards and get things done. Besides, using magic was like second nature to her, backwards-talking was like her second language, and she was fluent in it. It always felt weird having to hold herself back, and to bite her tongue when the urge to cast a spell hit her.
Today was the kind of day where she just didn't have the patience for things. Some might call it homesickness, but she woulnd't go as far as admitting that to herself. Instead, it was just the kind of day where everything felt wrong, nothing seemed to go in her direction, and the fact that she had been wandering the isles of the grocery store for five minutes without finding what she was looking for, was not making it better.
With a heavy sigh, she stopped right there in front of the cereal isle and closed her eyes. Her hand ran through her hair with a tugging motion, frustration colouring her appearance. She didn't have the patience for this, and especially not when the tools to do things differently, were so easily at her disposal.
"Seirrebeulb emoc ereh," she speaks it loud enough for the people around her to hear, defeat and exhasparation clear in her tone. Holding out her hand, she stands there, waiting the fifteen seconds it takes before the pack of blueberries flies around the corner of the isle, and places themselves neatly in her hand. Yeah, it shouldn't be this hard to find blueberries, and yeah, she's probably walked past them 17 times, but she doesn't care. At least she has them now.
