And Tikaos of course
I’m actually really sickof it.
I don’t… see the appeal?Like, just… how does it work unless both characters are different to theircanon? And canon’s got so little on both of them so it’s extremely differentfor every interpretation. Particularly with Chaos, as his canon indicates hehas about as much personality as a rock with eyes.
And they spent some awhole lot of time sealed in the ME together. IIIRC, it’s undetermined how muchtime they spent sealed, but it was /a really long time/. I don’t buy thatneither of them would come out of it really screwed up, conscious or not duringthat time so that complicates matters, not necessarily in a bad way. If anything,it opens the way for very complex interpretations of the characters. But…
That leads into anotherthing. The characters are never given interpretations of their own. They arealways thrown together with whatever situations or worlds are being built forthem. Just, why? I’m sure before Chaos’ rampage they both had their own life,or at least, it’s not a hard thing to imagine, IMO. But nope, any time onecomes into play in something, the other is right there with them. Even Archiedoes this. It’s tiring.
It doesn’t help that theyboth have very common back stories given to them. Tikal was always a pacifistin a war eager clan, Chaos never did anything with anything besides the chaobefore her, etc etc.
It’s incredibly boring andinevitably leads to “yeah they’re a thing”. It’s just /boring/ and frustratingthat they don’t even seem to be looked at as their own characters, always “Tikaland Chaos” which leads to /them/ being boring as characters.
