i just wanted to be mean to myself about feeling rusty as an artist in PEACE!!! but no! someone who's values and perspectives i respect just had to go and remind me that maybe some flaws are part of the sincerity of the process and not something you have to desperately try to hammer out at every turn just to reach for some nebulous goal of "perfection". WHATEVER!!!! ((7oO A Oo))7 guess imma just be over here~ showing myself some empathy or some shit... UGGGG!!!!!!!

🪨 let me paint you a picture 🪨

i grew up in a narrow mountain valley, in an area famous for it's opals! so when i was gripped by the need to make my own silly rock friend, it just felt right for them to be a craggy little boulder opal X3

about Iri~ "Iri loves making art. They love sculpting, carving, and jewelry making, but when they learned about the Earth art form "painting" it became their new obsession. They love that some earth paintings are completely invisible to them without special tools, while others are as textured and informative as the most detailed carving. They especially love making paint from scratch using all sorts of different raw minerals. Iri may not be able to see colors, but while creating and choosing their paints they make decisions based on texture, thickness, and the sorts of reverberations the mineral content causes. Painting has made it much faster for them to create huge works of art, so now they love painting on any and every surface!"
