I'm reviewing these old handwritten lecture notes from the 1820s-30s and I just found one that still has dried candle wax on the page and there is just something so transcendent and charmed about this idk I can't really put it into words.
Just thinking about this student almost two hundred years ago sitting over his notes by candle light and trying to cram all the knowledge into his brain for an exam.
Things change but they also stay the same
