does getting a labret piercing hurt in your opinion?

(just a heads up: questions about piercings brings out my inner “supportive but concerned for your safety” parent…so the answer is probably longer than what you wanted…. sorry)

uh yes and no. i’ve had it for nearly 5 years so i can’t remember the details about that too much but ye

the actual process of getting it doesn’t hurt much at all. there isn’t a lot in the lips that hurt. it’s sorta like biting your lip but in a tiny tiny area so it hurts even less.the only times it rly hurt for me was when i was trying to eat and accidentally bit down on the small plate of the back of the piercing jewelery. that was only the first 2 weeks or so tho and it only happened a few times and honestly i’ve felt worse pain than that

but also since it’s around the mouth it’s a lil more troublesome than your ears for example. you need to take very good care of it to avoid any infections. srsly be rly careful w piercings around and inside your mouth. go to a piercing studio for it. do NOT do it yourselfalso! if you’re unlucky the piercing could wear on your teeth and gum and you might have to remove it. 

so to sum it upin general it doesn’t hurt too much BUT:- go to a professional piercing studio. if it’s too expensive just don’t do it. it’s not worth taking risks- a labret piercing may harm your teeth and/or gum. if it does you can’t do much about it from what i know and you’ll most likely have to remove it.- you have to care for it properly. look up the do’s and don’ts online or even better go to a piercing studio and talk to them there- talk to actual professionals. just because a friend or someone you know pierced their lip/etc. themself and everythign went good doesn’t mean YOU should do that too. do not take any unnecessary risks

pls take every detail into consideration, don’t rush anything, and take care of yourself.

Your sososo pretty and your nose ring is cool as heck! But did it hurt getting it done?? Because I want one but I'm scared it will hurt and I have a low pain tolerance

It was really just a pinch with a weird pressure, and that was it. 

It didn’t hurt at all to me, and it was a little sore after, but as it heals, that goes away very quickly. 

I think you should do it button! it’s fast and relatively inexpensive, and if you take someone you trust with you, it should go really smoothly.

Ok so I see you have your nose pierced and I REALLY wanna get mine done! But I'm really nervous that it's gonna hurt! Any advice???

Go to a reputable tattoo parlor! 

It doesn’t hurt really. It’s a strange pressure and one big tear from the eye that’s above whatever side you’re getting pierced, and then it’s over.  

The tear happens no matter who it is because of the nasal pressure, which happens to trigger your tear ducts! That’s what my guy told me, and it happened to me, so I believe him. 

If you want to get it done, go for it! It’s relatively inexpensive and it looks great. :-) xo

its weird to have ur nose pierced at first cause ur eyes are adjusted to not see your nose, but now that you have shiny jewelry in it they wont be so u kind of have to get used to that at first too it doesnt really hurt as bad as a lot of people say it does, what hurts is when u accidentally snag it on things afterwards. as long as you clean it really well and dont mess with it too much you should be fine, but if u get sniffly then it may be rough cause ur instinct will be to rub ur nose

pros and cons of a lip ring?

pros:

it looks rly cool

getting your lip pierced doesn't hurt much at all (like the actual piercing process)

if you get a labret piercing you can get away w it p easily if you use tiny jewelery

cons:

if you're unlucky and it gets infected or smth after you've gotten the piercing it will be rly unpleasant since it's around the mouth

the healing process is also a bit unpleasant bc the first couple of days it might be hard to eat and if you accidentally bite the back of it while eating or smth (which probably will happen) it hurts a lot

you also have to take care of it and clean it properly which is a bit time consuming

if you're once again unlucky, the piercing might wear down your teeth/gum and you will have to remove it

i probably made it sound worse than it is but these are things that you should consideralso do NOT do the piercing yourself bc it's rly risky and not good. go to a piercing studio. if you decide to get one you shouldn't get pierced if you're sick. also you need to eat something within like 3 hours or less before you get pierced bc it will drain your energy so make sure you rest afterwards

so yea stay safe and take care of it properly!!!!
