Did you know that Blocky and Pierobot were a comedy duo in a robot circus before being turned into battle bots? Blocky was the funny man whilst Pierobot was the straight man - looks can be deceiving!
I’d go see their show!

While it’s not some major movement or anything, it feels like there’s been an influx of Metal Man fanart and creations in September for DWN-009. And since today is 9/9, which essentially is Metal Man Day, might as well join the bandwagon by throwing up some scans, the final model kit images of mine, and a wonderful heavy Metal Man cover for your audio pleasure while you browse.
I finished painting Pierobot, got it attached to the gear, and added a few last touchups to his paint job. Still couldn’t figure out the most creative solution to his missing arm situation, so he now has two Metal Blades embedded in his arm sockets. He’s so tough, he’ll fight you without his limbs! My attempt at AbstractMegaDadaism figure assembly. Yes. That’s the answer. Totally a fine arts movement. That I am dabbling in...
Metal’s got some cool pieces of art in Ikehara’s manga, and none more badass than the final bottom panel, where he’s chuckin’ a million blades at Rock. I also love the stunned look in Rock’s face when he picks up his Extra Life head. XD

Back to the Metal Man Planeswalker kit that is so inconveniently missing his arms.
When this thing was for sale, I so wanted the Tomahawk Man one more. Tommy Hawk came with Colton sitting on a barrel and a cactus, and just looked flippin’ awesome. That stage was always my favorite from 6. But anyhow, the auction price just kept getting jacked up, and I wasn’t going to bid any higher, but nobody wanted Metal, so I figured I’d at least pick up one of these Powered Up-styled kits. And it is still pretty cool in it’s own regard, with the gear display.
Dear lord, the patience I had to have trying not to to screw up the paint around his chest orb ring and knee orbs! And then what do I do? Screw up everywhere else! But I’ve touched up a few more spots since, that it’s not as glaring.
Haven’t gotten to painting the Pierobot that tops the gear yet. Don’t have any pinkish paint, gonna have to pick that up. It’s soooooo tiny!
Been racking my brain to think up some solution for the missing arms. Hey, Sentinel’s Dark Rockman arms are about the only ones that proportionally fit. Do I dare repaint them and pretend it fits? Probably not.
Otherwise, mostly finished and glued together. So once again, humor me about my crafting skills, Bart.
Probably gonna try the Tornado x Splash next to finish off my Classic kits before doing the Ryuusei ones. But that pair’s not gonna be done in a week. And hopefully I have no missing parts in any of them. :/
