‘Blue, for him, represented revelation. It was the support for his unformulable intuitions, the medium of his great emotions. It was also the image of the firmament, of the infinity of worlds, the call of the immaterial dimension of the universe.’

«The Constitutive Declaration of New Realism, drafted by Pierre Restany, is signed on October 27th, 1960 at Yves Klein' flat 14 Rue Campagne-Première in Paris by Yves Klein, Arman, Dufrêne, Hains, Raysse, Restany, Spoerri, Tinguely and Villeglé. Cesar and Rotella were invited, but didn’t turn up. Later, Niki de Saint-Phalle, Gérard Deschamps and Christo join the group. The nine members sign the nine copies of the Incorporation agreement.» – Archives Yves Klein
‘He opens the way for the greatest hopes. He recharges our feelings, sharpens perceptions. Thru his message we‘re no longer passive playthings of events; we feel differently, see better, on a larger scale; conjugate life in the future’
