Ships ; Abraham Woodhull and Leah Daniels
Abraham Woodhull gently shushed a babbling Thomas. He was surprised that his son was not crying but maybe that was because those tiny arms were reaching impatiently for Leah. Abe chuckles and rubs his back as he stares over at his wife. His beautiful and precious wife. His wife, who can kick anyone's butt if they so much as looked at her wrong. She was Washington's second in command. That meant many times where she was unable to return home. Home was the British controlled town in Setauket. Thomas babbled away, unaware of what was truly going on. The baby giggled and squirmed, wanting Leah.
All of a sudden a loud explosion sounded. The tavern shook. The people gasped and clung to one another or the tables. Thomas started crying at the noise. Abe looked grimly at Leah, silently hoping she had a plan. Caleb gently tapped Ben from the back and the two conversed in low whispers. Caleb nodded and went to relay the conversation to Leah. Abe watched them, biting down on the inside of his cheek. He needed to get the three of them alone.
"Major Hewlette won't surrender." He commented, standing up. He held his sobbing son. "He's a man of honor." Honestly that was maybe one of the few reasons why he liked the British Major.
"Shut that thing up." Roberson hissed while glaring at a still crying Thomas.
"Hey. How about you shut your own trap yeah?" Caleb demanded. He won't let anyone be mean to his god son.
