I was inspired by a comment by @betweenlands that discussed how v!Legundo would react to meeting various other Legundos. It made me think: "what if we put them all together, kinda Undertale AU style?" So, I present you the idea of "How many Legs" – shenanigans, a bit of existential horror, and a doctor or two questioning his life choices are guaranteed.
The premise, as I said, is several Legundos being put in one universe – I decided to land 'em all in VSMP before the discovery of vamps.
Specific Legundos: post-Haunted Winter 100dmv Legundo, PiglinGundo, SBK! Legundo (warning: I have watched a grand total of 5 episodes of SBK, all from Legs' POW), post-retirement GoT Scenario Legundo (debating whether to make him an Ice Dragonborn like my AllSupernat! Legundo or not. I'm leaning more towards not, for the sake of Doc), and post-Oakhurst StarterSwap!Legundo (he's getting help, don't worry).
Everyone's general vibes (and nicknames I'll be using for them for my and your convenience):
Traveller: ball of anxiety. "So many people, too many people-!" *curls up under a blanket in Abolish's house with a cup of hot chocolate the man found somewhere.*
North: chilling (ha!), even if he regrets having high alcohol tolerance. That's not how he thought his retirement from royalty would go, but eh.
Champion: he is freezing, he is shaking from too much oxygen, and his arm prosthetic is Wither knows where.
Virus: out of his own volition or not, he's here to be a menace.
Doc: spiked with whiskey tea from Abolish is the only thing keeping him together.
Plague: the true "real monster trying to do better". For a guy this objectively horrifying, tho, he is hilariously bad at being a vampire.
All six adore sheep, pink ones in particular in the case of the non-doctors. Virus knows pink sheep are usually that way cuz there's something wrong with them (aka mutations) & he finds kinship. North appreciates sheep and their wool's warmth, like many from such cold climates would. Plague used to have a niche interest in sheep in his youth, one Doc still has. Champion simply finds the creatures cute. And Traveller is... self-explanatory.
When Champion stumbles upon one... You better bet he (gently) carried the thing all the way to town. Yes, with only one arm (he did his best to ensure the small things's comfort, even if it earned him a cramp).
(And if Joanelle I happens to be a minion of a certain Monarch... Well. They do need to know what's going on to do their job well.)
Another silly post, in answer to myownmeadow's comment:
Imagine Traveler finding not one, but SIX pink sheep, a whole flock of ‘em, one for each Legs. Out of curiosity, which Legses would keep one as a pet and what do you think they’ll name them?
Good thing Traveller had wheat on him – to Oakhurst they go! This world is blessed! (It's the happiest he's seen as ever since Apo and Martyn first found him.) By the unanimous agreement of the entire town, North is the designated shepherd, sharing the control over the town's food supplies with Cleo. He's one of the most qualified people to take care of the representatives of eldritch gods sheep.
The one Champion found was named Joanelle I, she was mentioned in The Problem Of Having Six Legundos post. She's jokingly heralded as the queen of pink sheep. Virus convinced the other Legundos to name a sheep each, and as their primary caretaker North got to name two (Traveller got to name Joanelle I already, and didn't have anymore ideas for names).
Hereby, Joanelle I got Bug, Daisy, Fluffy, Viktor, Marshmallow and O'khar the Terrible as her new friends (guess who named whom).
Me: sets up a situation where Legundos get to be dads.
Also me: proceeds to not return to the idea 4 a good... Month? A couple of weeks, at least.
So, while I'm in a bit of a creative funk regarding "How many Legs", have some drawings:
And here's an older, fun set of doodles below cut:
To explain Nelly changing size – as a god, she can change her appearance at will.
Also, me mind latched onto the idea that the Merchant of Decem used to be PiglinGundo at some point, & I saw an art of the guy where he decided to copy Architect's appearance... Well, cun Nelly some slack – they're not used to being so alone, after so many eternities of being a part of Decem.
In the older set of doodles, I had yet to settle on a design for Traveller, & I gave Champion a hobby of tinkering. Then it hit me that the piglin hybrid won't be the best of engineers – that would be Virus – so I restrained that hobby to weaponry.
Btw, which Nelly desing is better, in your opinion – with the jacket, or with the cloak?
I thought of your “too many legs” au while watching the nether hub Legundo stream. Related to how the piglins HATED Legundo. What if pigundo, for a reason he couldn’t explain, HATES SBK!Legs? I think it would be pretty funny.
Champion: I hate the guy for a very explainable reason! I'm one of his main prank targets, and he's not afraid to use my- aversion to soul fire against me! And he killeD my ChiLD-!
[Suddenly, the piglin hybrid hunches in on himself, coughing violently. The black something coming up his throat disappears as soon as it's out, like it never existed and would never exist. After a few moments, the coughing fit subsides, leaving one confused piglin hybrid in the middle of the pale woods.]
[Purple eyes scan the dead trees – what is he doing alone all the way here? Doesn't matter, he decides oN His oWn, turning around to try and find his way to town – why, why bad sense of direction is one of the things Legundos share?!]
[Author's note under cut! Be warned, there's lots of text]
Awe, nice to know people like the scribbles my notes app struggles to contain! (16700+ words split between two files! Add 3300+ words I have just on Plague's universe, plus the various extra files and plot bits, and I can't contain this beast-)
I'm catching up on SBK after reading about this Eight character that popped up there. Most recently watched Legs' "Doomed and Distracted", and WHAT do you MEAN he accidentally destroyed season 1?!
Also (if you got this far), guess what's wrong with Champion? (I abandoned my original idea of making him a version of 100dmv Gundo – I have the "too similar for their comfort" thing with Plague and Doc, hence why I edited that part about Champion out of my first post on HmL. He's still off tho – his wRong is just more native to his universe now.)
