i put that paper bag in the boys cage and they are both so in love. chorizo’s been popcorning on and off since i put there, and Chico keeps running in and out of it. i’m glad they’re happy but like...could they also maybe appreciate the  8 dollar wooden house i bought them? :v

a little while ago i asked you guys about buying hay from Small Pet Select and almost everyone said that they were pretty quality suppliers. despite this, i ended up going with Jojo’s Best because it had the two-day prime shipping, and was also seven dollars cheaper at the time. i wish i had listened to ya’ll because i’m not really that happy with the hay i got from them. :/ first of all, i ordered the orchard grass b/c, as i’ve said many times, i’m allergic to timothy. the box i received has some orchard grass in it, but it also has hella timohty mixed in. i’m pretty certain it’s timothy hay because i’ve turned into a sneezy, itchy-eyed/ear-ed mess. i was also getting a rash on my hands before i started wearing rubber gloves. so that’s been fun to deal with. also the hay is really stemmy & not that soft. it’s not nearly as green or fragrant as the KMSHayloft bluegrass, or even the bagged orchard grass from Oxbow. so i’m just really disappointed i guess. i would send it back we’ve already put a small dent in it and shipping would probably be insane anyway. lesson learned though.
