This shows the decline of American manufacturing and a troubling reliance on foreign goods. Only US Agriculture contributes massively to restore a less negative balance. And those amazing workers are struggled (and killed literally) by assholes corps like Monsanto. Those Trump voters will be the first to suffer. Not acceptable.
Trump tariffs will immediately create MASSIVE inflation in the US, especially since China is unloading tons of USD on the markets, decreasing its convertible value. And as far as I know Chinese workers are paid in RMB Yuans. Apple someone ? Nike someone ???
America is unable to produce CONSUMPTION GOODS that are competitive on international markets. Best example : cars. Check how many US cars are sold in China below… Almost close to zero. Just because the production units are obsolete and the cars are…shitty. Except Tesla. 80K cars sold in 2017 worldwide, a drop in the ocean.
So, US friends get ready for massive retaliation from China . My guess is : Disney and McDonald’s are going to be kicked out of China mainland just like Twitter, Facebook or Danone previously.
