The dumpster stinks abominably (-- he thinks he can smell the scent of decay) but that doesn't keep him from shifting through it in search of some still edible food;; there's a restaurant at the main road and that had already grant him a half-eaten steak and an untouched baked potato along with some cherry tomatoes but he's still hungry (he thinks that he probably needs more food than other humans) and he doesn't know if he's going to find some more food tomorrow or the day after tomorrow so he just wants to gather as much as possible. He's balancing on a toppled vegetable box to peek into the dumpster but he jumps down as soon as he hears the sound of approaching footsteps. Rolling forward swiftly to hide in the shadow of the opposite wall, he draws one of his knives and stops breathing to not reveal his position.

her sisters   were already asleep,                and blossom    was   being  kept                sane ( and conscious ) by coffee                and  a  bag  of    hershey   kisses.

     to be honest, she’d forgotten entirely that joe was there.

                                   blossom    flinched                                    with surprise as he                                    sat next to her.   the                                    blanket   moved   to                                    rest    around    her                                    shoulders,  the boy                                    silently     watching                                    the  screen  of  her                                    computer.

        ❝ i’m not going to bed, joe —                 i can’t go to bed. ❞

                    ' i know . '  & his voice was uncharacteristically gentle                       & baby blue's held something borderline sympathy            he had been through the same stress she was                             many times before .

                              he knew how it could                               shake a person to their                               core & turn their world                               upside down .           ' & you're not staying up alone . . . '                                              clearing his throat & nervously keeping his                                              arm over her shoulders , his gaze flickered                                              to the open laptop .

m e m e                  ✾ - Why I chose my character      joe is a muse i’ve had in the back of my mind                for a long long time                 & after giving the novels a good read                      i just sort of had a huge amount of muse for joe                          & for some reason we just sort of connect                 i have three brothers & i know how family can be          the only difference we have is that i’m the oldest siblings                ⋆ - A ship I have with my character             i don’t have any ships in particular with joe      though nothing is off limits , i go with chemistry 100% of the time .

                great . the cashier is looking at them      like at any moment they'll turn around & kidnap him .        & joe is trying his best to inhale & exhale slowly                      ; to keep his temper cool .          ' what gave you the idea that coming here '                                     ' at two am '       ' purchasing five rolls of duct-tape & a frozen pizza '                                                                      ' would be a g o o d p l a n .
